Tooling Metalcrafters has amassed over a million dollars’ worth of tooling to support our large, customer-driven requirements, as very diverse industries each bring their unique requirements. Our CNC turret punch press choices alone number in the thousands, just for "standard tooling," and well into the hundreds for "one-off" part-specific specials. We have had our own in-house tool-making department since the 1970s, and have distinguished ourselves by reducing our customers' tool-making charges and lead-times through our in-house tool making. In addition to the thousands of commercial press brake tooling we have purchased over the years, our in-house ability to design and build specialized CNC press brake tooling has kept us ahead of complex requirements. Our tool-making expertise has allowed us to keep up with the intricate, close-toleranced, CAE created, precision sheet metal parts, which constantly evolve through increasingly sophisticated design. This fact has become synonymous with Metalcrafters for over 25 years. Our customer base has grown and diversified greatly over the years, leading us to develop a large and broad range of soft tooling inventory, and that in turn has proven to be a tremendous asset to new customers. We are able to offer our customers cost-effective choices, as part of our "design for manufacturability" services, and early vendor involvement programs with our customers' design engineers. |
